Rod Stuckey is the founder and president of Dealership University. Rod turned his passion for powersports into a career at an early age when he took his first job as a Kawasaki demo rider at Daytona Bike Week in the early 90’s. In 1995, Rod’s family opened a powersports dealership in the Atlanta-metro area. Rod held a variety of positions within the dealership including sales manager, parts manager, service manager, and general manager. His experiences in these positions helped him gain a solid understanding of the inner workings of a powersports dealership. When his father retired in 2001, Rod became the dealer principal of the four family-owned and operated dealerships. To grow the dealerships, Rod applied his creativity and a number of training and operational best practices to increase his staff’s productivity and profitability which led to the dealership’s recognition as a Top 100 Honda dealer.
As a former dealer principal, Rod noticed a significant void in the marketplace for consistent, comprehensive training to help make dealers and their employees more successful. Therefore, in 2004, he founded Dealership University, an Atlanta-based powersports education company specializing in delivering online and onsite training and productivity solutions.
Rod is a current rider, enthusiast and multi-time Southeastern Hare Scramble overall champion. Rod is also a graduate of the E-Myth Mastery Program, a leading results-based entrepreneurial business development program for small business owners.
